About The Fire House
The Fire House of Newark, Ohio was founded in 1977 by Al Larimer who brought 22 years of fire department experience to service and supply the needs of the area fire-fighting organizations.Patronage was immediate and soon Mary Lou Nethers, Jim Larimer and Denise Winland joined the organization to serve the growing list of customers. These persons, today, are familiar faces at fire conventions all over the country where we have displays.
Five salesmen; Mike Litteral, Laura Barry, Ryan Pracht, Scott Ramsey and Michael Lerman, most are professional fire fighters, and in some cases volunteers too, are our in-the-field contacts with customers.
Today The Fire House offers a complete line of fire fighting equipment and supplies, Station uniforms, and insignias. The same is true for EMS, Police, Sheriff departments and private Security companies. The Fire House is headquartered in a 10,000 sq. ft. building with offices, showrooms, and a warehouse with over $500,000 of in-stock items for prompt delivery. Displays at trade shows and conventions make us familiar to many customers nationwide.
